Mark Gerson is the Executive Chairman of Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG), which he co-founded in 1998. Mark is the author of several books published by the Free Press, Addison Wesley and Madison Books. He has also written numerous articles and essays which have been published in newspapers and magazines including The New Republic, Reader's Digest, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal. He serves on the boards of the American Friends of the IDC, Manhattan Institute, Yale Chai Society, and Imentor. Mark is a graduate of Williams College and Yale Law School.

Previously at GLG, Mike was head of the Technology, Media & Telecommunications Research Practice Prior to joining GLG, Mike was a Partner at Apax Partners focusing on early-stage technology investing. Earlier, he was Vice President of Equity Research at Lazard where he covered data networking companies. Mike held industry positions at Salomon Brothers and AT&T Bell Laboratories. Andrew Goldman is Managing Director of Marketing, Communications and Public Policy. He was, until recently, Executive Vice President for Global Marketing and Communications at Instinet, where he not only managed communications, public relations, investor relations, advertising and general marketing, but also all public policy and government relations for what is still the world’s largest agency broker and was previously one of the nation's largest electronic marketplaces. Before joining Instinet (then Island) in 1999, Andrew was Managing Director and co-founder of Clark & Weinstock’s Washington office, a leading public policy firm, and before that he held positions at the American Enterprise Institute, the Department of Defense and The Wall Street Journal. He received the Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service. Andrew graduated from Wesleyan University.

Mark joined GLG from Context Media, a leading provider of enterprise content integration software and services, where he was vice president of products. Previously, Mark served as an executive team founding member and vice president of engineering at AltaVista Software, a division of AltaVista Company. His responsibilities at AltaVista included building and managing the team that developed the search Web site. Prior to AltaVista, he served as a development director for Oracle Corporation where he spearheaded development efforts in CRM and E-Commerce product areas. Thomas Hutzel is Chief Accounting Officer at Gerson Lehrman Group (GLG). Before joining GLG, he was Chief Financial Officer for nine years at Spencer Trask Venture, a New York- based venture capital firm. During Thomas’s tenure at Spencer Trask, he was the CFO and a board member serving several of the firm’s portfolio companies. He was responsible for the assessment and implementation of financial and accounting infrastructure within the portfolio companies. Early in his career, Thomas worked for Ernst &Young in the Entrepreneurial Services Division. Thomas received a BS in Accounting from St. John’s University and is a certified public accountant.

Sam Jacobs is the Managing Director for Americas Research at Gerson Lehrman Group. Previously Sam was responsible for global client service and for running GLG’s Consumer Goods & Services research practice, which he launched in 2003. Prior to GLG, Sam worked at Capital One Corporation in their Global Finance Division, at Stern Stewart & Company in their Middle Market Finance Group and as the founder of two technology-based entertainment startups. Beth began her career with Electronic Data Systems in Dallas and London holding positions in corporate development and international legal support. Margaret joined GLG in 2006 from Avistar Communications where, as Managing Director, she spearheaded user adoption of technology. For six years earlier, she served Siebel Systems (acquired by Oracle in 2006). Her roles there included Senior Director of Field Marketing & Customer References; Director of Customer Strategy focusing on business cases and ROI analysis; and Senior Product Line Manager launching Siebel’s CRM software in the Media vertical market. Earlier in her career, Margaret served Telecom Ireland (Eircom) as Vice President of Marketing, promoting Ireland as a business destination for US companies.
