Find Leading Experts through Global Councils

Gerson Lehrman Group Councils consist of eight distinct industry and discipline-focused networks, organized by continent. Members of these Councils are global industry leaders and can be valuable educational resources on a wide range of subjects.

With developed networks in North America, Europe and Asia, and emerging networks in Latin America and Middle East/Africa, the GLG Councils membership now includes over 175,000 industry experts.

Some of GLGs most esteemed Council Members, those who have met the requirements for and joined GLG Member Programs, are eligible to work with clients on more in-depth projects such as in-person meetings, travel programs and written reports. These Members are also provided access to and may participate in GLG News and GLG Institute.

Eligibility to Join the Gerson Lehrman Group Councils

All Council Members who are eligible to participate in projects have:

  • Provided GLG with information about themselves, their knowledge, their current employer and employment history
  • Completed an on-line Council Member Tutorial about their confidentiality obligations and about GLG's additional compliance rules (current Council Members have until January 1, 2008 to complete the Tutorial)
  • Signed the current version of the GLG Terms and Conditions of Council Membership ("Terms and Conditions") within the last year. GLG's contract management systems track the version and exact date of the Council Member's agreement, and systematically enforce annual recertification and upgrades.

GLG Member Program participants (who are eligible to engage in extensive and ongoing projects that require a deeper relationship with GLG clients), must provide written approval from their employer, if applicable, to participate in GLG Member Programs.

GLG automatically disqualifies from the Councils any person who works for a company that GLG has learned prohibits its employees from participating in outside consulting. The GLG Institutional Registry enables companies and other institutions to inform GLG of any restrictions or limitations on the ability of their employees and business partners to participate in consulting through our network.
