Recruiting Managers are exclusively focused on developing and marketing the GLG Councils. The Recruiting Manager role is an exciting position in a fast-growing global firm with opportunities to work closely with business and investment leaders that are driving industry throughout the world.
GLG’s Council Management team for the Americas region is located in Austin, Texas and organized into the following Councils practice areas:
- Healthcare
- Energy & Industrials
- Consumer Goods & Services
- Technology, Media & Telecom
- Real Estate
- Financial & Business Services
- Accounting & Financial Analysis
- Legal, Economic & Regulatory Affairs
Specific responsibilities include:
- Quickly identify and establish consulting relationships with professionals, often former C-level executives, best suited to consult on our highest priority client inquiries through e-mail and telephone marketing
- Grow the GLG Councils by recruiting key thought leaders with basic industry professional recruiting campaigns, leveraging lists, associations, referrals and other relationships
- Interview prospective Council Members as needed and capture critical data in GLG’s data management systems
- Gain participation and buy-in from Council Members in GLG’s various products and programs.
- Help manage the recruiting workload and workflow across a team, using existing GLG systems and providing input on systems under consideration
- Collaborate with other Recruiting Managers to share best practices and ensure training for Recruiting Associates is consistent across teams
- Consult with both client-facing Research Managers to gauge clients’ needs and other Council Management team members to ensure utilization of best practices when dealing with prospective and current Council Members.
Candidate profile:
Potential candidates possess:
- Two to four years of post-undergraduate experience
- Excellent communication skills, including demonstrated proficiency in oral, writing and presentation abilities in a business-focused setting using a variety of communication channels (telephone, e-mail, in-person, etc.)
- Successful track record working in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively, while ensuring a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Passion for sales and conversation, including experience with phone sales
- Interest in building an Internet-driven business
- Demonstrated fluency in using technology tools to improve effectiveness and increase efficiency
- A degree from a top-tier university or equivalent work experience

Evaluation, Compensation and Benefits:
Following is an initial estimate of compensation and benefits for this position. The final compensation structure depends on many factors and these numbers are subject to change.
Salary: Competitive base salary plus year-end performance-based discretionary bonus Healthcare: United Health plan and Metlife Dental Insurance Vacation: 15 days per year plus New York Stock Exchange holidays
