For-Profit Education is a system of postsecondary educational schools that are established by private, profit-seeking companies. These schools fall into three categories: Enterprise, Supersystem, and Virtual. Enterprise companies are typically privately owned and local with smaller enrollments. Supersystem institutions are publicly traded and have multiple campuses across the country. Virtual universities have an exclusively online student body and staff.
