Digital Cinema using digital technology to distribute and project motion pictures. Movies can be distributed via hard drives, DVDs or satellite and are projected using a digital projector instead of one using film. Digital Cinema also allows for much cheaper and less cumbersome post-production because there is no film to cut and splice.
