Commercial MasterCard was certain to compete more vigorously against its larger not-for-profit cousin Visa. The question was always how much and how soon. It gained share in 2006. Its 2007 win of Lloyds TSB suggests 2006 was not a one-off and that MasterCard will increase share in 2007 as well.
