Analysis of: 4G or Not 4G |
www.unstrung.com
1. Mobile technologies are refined and evolve into distinct generations. 3G was clearly a step beyond 2G. All the apparent contenders for 4G status are both very different from anything that has gone before and very different to each other. 2. The wireless industry has deservedly...
Analysis of: Alliance promotes U.S. national broadband policy |
telephonyonline.com

Analysis of: CenturyTel sees revenue rise, voice lines and DSL growth fall in Q2 |
onetrak.com
Back during the early 2000s meltdown, CenturyTel had been sucking up rural telcos across the country. I was frankly doubtful the company could sustain itself unless everyone else in their territory rolled over and disappear.
Analysis of: AT&T adds 1.3M subs; wireless data revenue surges |
www.fiercewireless.com
AT&T’s future results might be impacted by comments in the 2Q2008 presentation that the iPhone subsidy could reach $720 million and that 13 million or 18% of total subscribers had 3G devices.

The ITU has set in motion the next step to 4G by announcing the preliminary specifications for a 4G technology solution for...

It has strong strategies in place in relation to its transformation into a next generation telco and has its eyes on FttH. It is however on a collusion course with the Australian Government in relation...

lw.pennnet.com
1. There appear to be some clues that the first thing that Infinera will do to play in the metro market a little better is to develop a 4 x PIC. 2. The vendor should be able to slowly work its way into the space. 3. ...
Analysis of: Clearwire expects 30m subscribers by 2017 |
www.wimaxday.net
WiMAX is the way to keep the cellular backhaul costs low. Personally, I think Clearline’s estimate of 30 million customers is probably conservative.
