People will need to be given a reason to use local search. The simple fact is that local search is, well, local... People already know their local area and can mostly find what they need on their own. The local internet search that adds value will attract the customers.

This is really interesting.  The need for local search is great, but the offerings are limited.  How that element can drive growth in '08 & '09 is beyond me - unless it's mobile.
