November 2, 2009
Bombardier fires back at CSeries critics | www.montrealgazette.com
It’s all very well to criticise rival aerospace OEM’s because they’ve had issues with their own airplane development programs. But that doesn’t detract from the reality that the CSeries has failed to dampen enthusiasm for the A320 and 737.

October 31, 2009
Looking at the world from a stable but low level of activity | www.icis.com

Is Competition a Serious Issue for DuPont in respect of Rynaxypyr?
October 30, 2009
DuPont’s Breakthrough Insect Control Product Registered in Japan, Brazil | www.yourpetrochemicalnews.com
Rapid introduction of the product, approvals by FAO and WHO and registration in 45 countries are strong points in favour of DuPont. There should not be any problem with EU and US registrations. Monsanto, with recent bad reputation on GM seeds may not be a difficult competitor. Syngenta is lesser known in many countries. Thus it cannot compete very effectively in all markets. But stiffer competition is likely from leading country-specific insecticide firms in certain markets.

October 28, 2009
Alabama lawmakers say Pentagon tanker rules unfair | www.reuters.com
To suggest that the KC-X tanker competition is now “a sham” may well indicate that the final RFP and final WTO ruling will impact on the admissibility of the A330 as a tanker. Is this a precursor to Northrop Grumman leaving the arena via their campaigners’ complaints?

Toy Recall Shows Challenge China Poses to Partners | online.wsj.com
Quality has been the greatest challenge to buyers in China since the process began its stellar growth in the 80's. The consumer now 'reads the carton' and is better informed than ever before. There is mistrust of imports from developing countries, exacerbated by recalls such as experienced by Mattel, which attract disproportionate attention, in terms of levels of global trade. What happened in the lubricant additives business could also happen in other specialty chemical areas. The key requirement is that suppliers mange their product profile to help improve their customers profitability.
