Analysis of: Internet Poker to be Legalised in US by 2009 | www.igamingbusiness.com
Author: GLG Member Program Contributor
It's nice to be optimistic. But Congress won't pass, and Pres. Bush won't sign, any bill legalizing Internet gambling during an election year. There are also issues involving online security and states' rights that will take time to resolve. Meanwhile operators, including the biggest, are looking at...

CAESARS PALACE DEALERS JOINING WYNN LAS VEGAS DEALERS - IT'S UNION
Analysis of: DEALERS SOUR ON CAESARS - LAS VEGAS | www.lasvegassun.com
Author: Ron Lodge, Former Senior Marketing Executive (former) Venetian Casino Resort Inc
The union organizing at Caesars Palace can't be a good sign for management. It can be only a sign of discontent with employees that are the face of the property - the dealers. There should have never been a need for dealers at the Wynn or CP to want to unionize. It can only put an added burden on the...

STRIP vs STRIP (MACAU and LAS VEGAS STRIP)
Analysis of: STRIP vs STRIP (MACAU and LAS VEGAS STRIP) | www.lvrj.com
Author: GLG Member Program Contributor
Of course there are similarities, but the differences may be of greater importance.  Growth in Macau will continue to be as spectacular, for a few years, as it was in Las Vegas in the 1990s, until it, too, will be oversupplied.  But California could never require its citizens...

Can Planet Hollywood just rely on two towers of Time Share and condo sales to bolster their bottom line. The investment will be substantial and the results must make this move justifiable. The introduction of time share into their portfolio should certainly make a large difference in cash flow...

LAS VEGAS AND MACAU - HERE WE GO AGAIN
Analysis of: STRIP vs STRIP (MACAU and LAS VEGAS STRIP) | www.lvrj.com
Author: Ron Lodge, Former Senior Marketing Executive (former) Venetian Casino Resort Inc
The fact that the Cotai strip was once barren and lacking in any real future can't be an issue. If push comes to shove, the Las Vegas Strip at one time had less of a chance to be what is is today than Macau. The facts are, and the comparisons should be, made to look at numbers. Where will each be ten...
