The European Commission's requirements for continued state aid to RBS and Lloyds may look like unwarranted interference in the UK's domestic banking market. Is there a difference between virtual stealing of money or actual hold up? The end result is the same: stealing money from the bank. Similar classical measures of protection and provisions can be applied by banks to preserve depositors' funds in accordance with IAS. As for customers' being ripped off or scammed, the end result is also the same. Proper education  on using virtual banks' site to transfer money should be encouraged by banks to build up customers' trust.

Given that RBS and Lloyds are in a complete mess, thanks to their own inept management, I don't fully "grasp" how it is that any senior manager is entitled to receive a bonus.By paying part of the bonuses in shares, the current shareholders will find their holdings diluted, and the management will be incentivised to talk the value of the shares up in future (a la Enron) in order to maximise their personal gains.Is this really an improvement in the corporate governance of these two failed banks?
