Ferumoxytol is not likely to gain market share and widespread use by hemodialysis centers.  This new iron preparation offers no benefit over Ferrlecit and Venofer.  Additionally, hemodialysis patient's are not inconvenienced by 30 minute infusion versus a 5-minute infusion.

DDAVP reduces urine output and is useful in the treatment of bedwetting (enuresis). However the reduction in excretion of water can be associated with water intoxication (hyponatremia). FDA advises that DDAVP is no longer considered indicated for the treatment of enuresis.
