While core infrastructure, telecom, and enterprise system maintenance revenues have been relatively stable even in this market, discretionary tech spending is challenged.However, tech buying is strong with a few interesting technology solutions that can provide tangible short term benefits.

SK Telecom is likely moving on with the sales of their Virgin Mobile shares.

Sprint Nextel-Virgin Mobile: What Does Sprint ‘Want to Be When It Grows Up?” | blogs.wsj.com

SK Telecom (SKT) is planning to sell all of its 15.3% shares of Virgin Mobiles USA for the pure investment purposes with Sprint acquiring Virgin Mobile USA. The 15.3% of shares are converted into a dismal 0.53% shares after Sprint's acquisition and this kills the South Korean global operator's strategic importance to Sprint. SK Telecom's future attempts to acquire any significant operator will definitely be on a hold for very long time with painful lessons learned from Helio MVNO.
