No one should be surprised by slowing smart phone or any handset sales.  We are in a recession.  Once telecom, an infrastructure business, begins to feel the pinch, then you know we are in trouble.

Pat Russo and Serge Tchuruk have gone.  I wish them well.  Now we have Ben Verwaayen and Philippe Camus to run Alcatel-Lucent.   Healing is a bad word to describe what Verwaayen and Camus need to do,

All stock holders need to calm down.  Of course things are going to get worse before they get better. It is the nature of restructuring – pain first, followed by healing, followed by growth. Sprint needs ot rid itself of non-core assets now to pay down debt.

I find it appalling that no one is complaining that Apple has kept hidden the kill switch. I find it appalling that a vendor is watching what you are doing.  

The telecom business operates in a series of rapid cycles. As an issue, roaming alternates between being an issue and not being an issue – and that is such a mistake.
