Medical oncologists have "maxed out" on  chemo combinations in lung cancer.  It is clear that biologic agents need to be incorporated into our treatment regimens in order to move forward. Erbitux is safer and can be used in a broader population of lung cancer patients than Avastin.

There is no reason to believe Dacogen is inferior to Vidaza. In some studies, Dacogen seems to produce a deeper quality of response, and may also prove more beneficial in AML.

Revlimid benefits are often over-stated in non-5Q minus MDS. The cost is a hurdle for many patients with poor prescription plans. Vidaza and Dacogen seem superior in my experience for higher risk patients.

Article overstates heart risk to some degree, nevertheless important

The current understanding of heart risks from chemotherapy does not stop oncologists from giving chemotherapy for early breast cancer in those who need it. Better drugs for preventing relapse are certainly welcome, when they are developed.
