Biofuels from nonfood chain feedstock sources are viable alternative fuels
November 4, 2009
Biofuels do harm, aren't they? | pellets-wood.com
The biofuels and alternative energy project models that were originally based on feedstock materials from the food chain commodities have been shown to a failure, something many already knew. Not only did they add to the upward pressures on food chain commodities, especially corn and soyoil, they brought added deforestation pressures in several developing economies.Additional fertilizers and pressures on already low water supplies in some areas were additional exacerbations to the equation. The new generation of feedstock for biofuel production will be from nonfood chain sources and will add new benefits into the biofuel equation.

Oil Tops $78 to Year High on Inventory Drop, Weak Dollar | www.cnbc.com
There are two main drivers of last week's temporary record: the value of the US dollar, which makes every commodity more expensive and the ever increasing US consumption of gasoline and distillates. The guzzlers on US roads are increasing, and powering vehicles with natural gas is not pursued vigorously enough. The "Peak Oil Theory" is no longer a theory and finding oil will continue to be more and more difficult and expensive.

Italian Government Reaches Union Agreement on Fiat’s CNH Plant | www.bloomberg.com
Italian Labor law is so inflexible about layoffs and forget the future of the plant in Imola if it invovles permanent closure. Italy, behind Spain , is one of the most socialistic countries when it come to labor law giving no flexibility whatsoever to industry in manoeuvering during difficult times, that is while Fiat CEO is scanning the globe and is in bed with Chrysler , not only for high cost production , but also for labor inflexibility.

No Moral Comparison / EU handouts to Airbus and Boeing business with Uncle Sam

WTO to rule next week on Airbus funding dispute | www.google.com
To state that a hand to Airbus from Germany , France and Britain is the moral equivalent to legitimate services rendered by Boeing to the US government is none sense . The Europeans must learn how to do business and compete in the real world and subsidies is immoral and anti-competitive. The European and EU Government complain about China and other Asian dumping laws yet they practice the same.
