NBCU Acquires Weather Channel, weather.com

NBC Universal, the only bidder left in the hunt for the Weather Channel, will acquire the service along with two private equity firms.  NBCU claims the Weather Channel will function separately from NBC Weather Plus.  Don't bet on this happening too long.
