Point one is that Ebay is in financial trouble. The second point is that some of it could have been avoided. The third is - the problem can be partially resolved, but it will take time, money, and will loose Ebay some of its "charm."

Amazon’s stock price is up more than 25 percent today after its second blockbuster quarterly earnings report in a row. eBay is losing market share to Amazon. This trend appears likely that it will continue.
