The data for up front myeloma is promising but it has not been compared head to head against other promising novel therapies ( ie Revlimid) nor head to head with Melphalan, prednisone plus thalidomide. The MPT regimen has been demonstrated in a number of randomized trials to be superior to Melphalan...
