In two words: I agree.

From my perspective this is an odd case not because of the infringement but because a vendor is suing a carrier.

In my posting entitled “Verizon’s Month-to-Month Plan – A Smart Move in Tough Times”, I had said that Verizon was taking a bold and smart step towards reaching deeper into that ever growing sector of the economy that lives on cash by moving to month-to-month plans.  This is the next step.

In the last 20 years every time there has been a recession or economic downturn there have been accelerated efforts to get standards written and approved.

As we all know the Obama Administration will be focused on a large number of important national issues; one of those issues will be the economy. OCCAM has stumbled onto something a number of telecom experts have been promoting and most of the investment community has either ignored or is unaware...

If you are expecting any criticism on my part, you can forget it.  I am not taking sides on this matter.  Both men have been on the right side of issues before.

What are the plans of the creditors and investors for Hawaiian Telcom? This could be a text book case of financial restructuring versus operational restructuring.

Most analysts quickly launch into company reviews immediately after the introduction of a new product line or improved product line.  I decided to wait. The re-engineered Latitude was positioned as the savior of Dell.  But was it?

In a wide and deep recession you look for infrastructure businesses to invest in.  Why?   The answer is they are bread and butter businesses.

This is no surprise to anyone who has worked with or against InterDigital.
