ACE inhibitors have become the first line drugs in treatment of hypertension. One major side-effect, especially if there is renal dysfunction is the development of hyperkalemia. The combination of Altace with hydrochlorthiazide will help in diminishing this problem. It would also help if there was a combination with different doses of Altace and Hctz.
