In Second Trial, Avastin Is Found Effective in Treating Breast Cancer

New data with low and high dose of Avastin with Taxoter

A recent trial showed that Genentech's Avastin when added to Docotaxel , increased time to progression in patients with recurrent breast cancer. This trial confirms results of a previous study and is reported to have better safety profile. Although survival data are still pending, the efficacy results may be enough to get FDA approval and bring Avastin to the lucrative market of breast cancer.
