Consolidation in Europe is continuing. Air France and KLM started it for fear of loosing out in the end and Lufthansa has gained control of Swiss and brought some sparkle back to it. The other major in Europe who has been silent on the merger/takeover front was BA - much due to lack of a suitor. Enter Iberia! The only other big carrier in Europe, since SAS has a close co-operation with LH and Alitalia...
