Data Presented at ASH Demonstrate Nebivolol Lowers Blood Pressure as Long-Term Monotherapy and in Combination Therapy

Beta blockers are no longer considered first line therapy for HTN. This drug may  ressurect this class of agents, but how does it compare to Coreg and Toprol? Will it also have indications for CHF, stroke etc? It  will need more than just the ability to decrease BP in obese patients to find a niche.
