I would be hoping for an analysis to determine if the results are just a fluke or if in fact their "drug" in combination with Taxotere for this population is actually killing people.

No reason for the increased mortality vs Chemo alone was identified. Cell Genesys is looking into where to go now.

This is bad news for Cell Genesys but may use for other treatment

 1. Radioimmunoassay is very hard to  proof the basic biology of metastatic patient. 2.  GVAX  Immunotherapy is basically modify the  GM-CSF, so the exact biology of immune system of the patient  should be considered in metastatic stage before use. As the tumor is already metastatic, again modifying GM-CSF  will  produce unwanted side effect.
