Bombardier Predicts Continued Growth

The technology advances required in the new regional aircraft market such as side stick controllers, fly-by-wire including dissimiliar processors and software, federated applications and cabinet integration, 4-D Flight Management Systems, and the use of composites will cause the published delivery dates to slip into 2014 and not provide the industry with the fuel efficient aircraft on schedule.

Some business jet manufacturers seem clueless to the impending industry downturn.  Denying the inevitable not only does shareholders a disservice but also delays the company from taking positive steps to minimize the economic impact.

Nodoby likes to be overly optimistic, especially these days, but strangely, many people looking in on the aerospace industry (especially those on the periphery -- and I don't just mean the BBC) can't see the wood for the trees. And in their little worlds, those trees are all falling down. Strange indeed.
