This has been an issue in the Homecare arena for the past few years with the concept of Competative Bidding being proposed at a huge cost to the system. They could have just continued setting their own prices as they have in the past 30 years and allow providers to do advanced beneficiary notices if they wanted to exceed the medicare price published by medicare for the product desired. Therefore they could have saved billions of dollars that adds more politics to the system.
