Analysis

How can Congress even think the health care system will be more efficient and cheaper run by the government?  Much of the massive increase in cost has been caused by government mandates and increased coverage.  If you have ever seen all the rules leveraged on healthcare providers and hospitals you wonder how anyone can deliver quality care by their unrealistic standards.  The proposed 21% cut to physicians next year will tell you the absurdity of the payment schedule.

Insurance companies typically take 18 to 20% off the top of premiums collected.  I think they should be able to struture their policies according to risks.  If patients don't practice good health choices in their living styles they should pay more.  It is not fair for those who take responsibility for their health to have to shoulder the burden of those who are too lazy or irresponsible.  It has been shown time and again if you don't have an economical investment in your treatments you will abuse the system.  You must pay consequences to change behavior.

One size fits all health care will never work.  Increase taxes and restriction of care will be the outcome.  We do not need a universal coverage, we need more freedom of choice and tax breaks.  The American people need to wake up and voice their concerns about universal coverage and realize they are ultimately responsible for abuses.
