Where does CECO go from here?
Analysis: CECO must get AIU back in good standing with its accreditor, SACS, before it can start moving forward again. CECO's management knows what needs to be done in order to correct the various issues that led to SACS placing AIU on probation. They have been working hard to correct past mistakes and reset AIU (and other divisions) to become acceptable as a degree granting Post-Secondary educational institution.
CECO has no choice but to place primary focus on solving the accrediting issues and suffer through the associated earnings hits, enrollment erosion and lower starts.
SACS is concerned about the students and the quality of education (things like rigor and student outcomes) and isn't concerned with earnings and stock prices.
CECO still has a ways to go but in the end will survive and become a better educator and company.
