Analysis

I am a board certified orthopaedic surgeon in active clinical practice involved the operative and nonoperative treatment of arthritis and other joint related conditions.  I am familiar with the Victory Pharma product line as it relates to orthopaedics.
Essentially, their products are recycled pharmaceuticals with either dosage changes or slight product modifications.  Their main product, Naprelan, is essentially a once a day prescription strength dosage of naprosyn (Aleve).  While it is a good drug, it is sometimes hard to ask a patient to pay a Tier 3 copay for a once day version of generic naprosyn/aleve.
Another product, Fexmid, a muscle relaxant, is a 7.5 mg dose of the long time generic 10 mg Flexeril (cyclobenzaprine).  Again, many patients do not want to be charged a high copay for a slightly different version of a low cost generic.
Victory Pharma tries to counter the copay costs with vouchers provided to physician offices by their representatives that are then given to the patients with their prescriptions.  In my opinion, Victory Pharma does produce quality pharmaceuticals; however, their products are not very unique or novel.
