Vaniqa's effect on laser hair removal
Analysis of:
Laser Hair Removal Enhanced With Eflornithine Cream | www.medscape.com
This analysis is solely the work of the author. It has not been edited or endorsed by GLG.
Implications: I do not believe that Vaniqa will have a negative effect on Laser hair removal as its efficacy is only temporary. In fact we use it as an adjunct for patients with resistant areas. Its use may actually enhance the use of Laser devices as they offer permanence. The products use may be increasing as more patients are aware of hair removal options.
Analysis: Most laser hair devices will not be affected by this as the use of Enflorethine/Vaniqa only gives temporary hair reduction. Companies like Palomar, Sciton, Cutera will have no effect from this product which has been available since the 90's.
