Summary
Mr. McWilliams article brought to our attention some hopeful economic turnarounds for transportation companies in 2008, is 2008 a stretch for economic turnarounds in transportation? Yes.
Analysis
This economic stimulus package that were all hearing about, is it a quick fix or a long term fix? Transportation has been in a doldrum for some time now, so how can an influx of minute capitol help our economy flourish? It can't.
The government’s stimulus package is nothing more than putting a band aid on a severed limb. It may stop the bleeding in the interim, but long term you'll bleed to death. Let's look at the economy in this mindset, companies are losing millions of dollars per quarter, and eliminating jobs just as fast.
When will transportation see a turnaround? At the earliest, the second quarter of 2009. One last thing, I wanted to apologize for a typo error in my last post, it should have been CFR rules and regulations, nor CRF.
Thank You,
Tony Sottile
