Summary
In my previous post I had not yet seen this: http://www.iphonesimfree.com/ A software only solution for the iphone. This will increase iPhone sales at the expense of other brands and will help Apple's revenue numbers.
Analysis
I think the unlocked iphone will be good for Apple and bad for Motorola, Nokia, etc. It will cannibalize equipment sales by the carriers as well. It will be interesting to see if carriers try and block its use.
All good for Apple, not so good for AT&T and everyone else.
