Introduction of Google Chrome OS may be a strategy of Google to test the storm and water and by throwing a spanner, world can start looking anxiously the competitors act. Google is been always in the game of demonstrating high technology and break through products.
When it comes to comparison with Microsoft we need to be aware of the fact that we are comparing apple to apple and not apple to oranges. Google is trying to address netbooks community with limited but all desired unique features.
Analysis
Google's move to really address operating system market doesn't seem to be crystal clear since they are neither promising nor making any hurry to provide all those features which Microsoft OS has it. I guess they are addressing more in terms of what their core competency can provide to user which will be internet based and with unique features such as speed and ease of operation moreover it is most likely going to be aligned with cloud computing technology in future where in user can have a luxury of choosing various packages for short time to quickly address his/her business needs.
It is yet to be seen with Chrome OS how best it is able to eliminate vulnerability,instability and other obvious draw backs of Microsoft OS.
Google can send all together a different message to the IT world by providing very unique and stable environment which can address computing and communication needs rather than copying same features of Microsoft OS ,which Iam sure they are not at all targeting.
