Being in stock of every day "core" merchandise will be critical as customers are looking for one stop shopping.

Consumable goods will be the driving force as grocery items in these stores are usually cheaper than at regular supermarkets.

Dollar Tree will eventually have to break the $1 price point especially on things like a gal. of milk if they truly want to compete with the othe Dollar Stores.

Also, now is the time to be more creative with brand name items as well as promoting their private label brands.
