Summary

Dow Transports were up late last week, but the future for brokers & independents may place a damper on the market this summer.  Many experts expect truckload capacity to tighten this summer.

Analysis

Here’s a potential scenario; assume pricing power remains with shippers and diesel costs exceed $4.20 a gallon during Q3.  The average independent trucker will stop chasing low value truckload shipments.  Transporters are business people also.  They won’t move our nation's freight for the glory of paying their monthly truck lease and fuel bill.
