Targeting the Uninsured is an Excellent Idea
Analysis: The marketing of health plans and other services to the uninsured is an idea that will see substantial growth over the next few years. While many of these plans are focused on providing low cost products directly to those who are uninsured, often with high deductibles or limited coverage others are recognizing the early stages of a growing market of cities and counties that are creating tax bases to be used for the provision of some limited health coverage for those presently uninsured. These government initiatives will grow rapidly and offer companies an opportunity to provide services ranging from TPA and health plan management to care coordination, disease management and education.
