TRUMP AND WYNN TOGETHER - HARD TO FIGURE

Analysis of: TRUMP, WYNN SILENT ABOUT POSSIBLE CASINO | www.reviewjournal.com

Analysis By:

FormerSenior Marketing Executive (former), Venetian Casino Resort Inc
Implications: This could be a great way for two of the most respected guys in the gaming business to light up Atlantic City. These are two hard hitters that will have a very hard time working together - they both are in a very favored position with the lending community and investment groups. It would certainly be a significant partnership and have a spectacular effect on AC gaming. Could it be a fact?????

Analysis: It a real story of strange bed fellows getting ready to try out a new mattress. It's a very difficult partnership to see coming to fruition. I know Donald Trump by reputation only, but I do know Steve Wynn and I find it a bit of a stretch to see these two together. Steve is very much of a my way or the highway type of business person. He relies on a very small group of people to advise him with Elaine Wynn in first position. Don't count her out in any decision making as she is a real force in the Wynn organization. I can't see either Steve or Donald taking a back seat to one another.

I mentioned in a previous article that if there was going to be any movement by the Wynn organization to move in on Atlantic City - it would come out of Steve's mouth. There have been rumors to the effect that he may be planning another AC adventure, and he may, but with Trump, that is another matter altogether. Tell you the truth I can't even see them agreeing on a theme let alone an entire project.

Although, I have been putting the downer on this relationship, there is one way it could possibly work. One of the two would almost surely have to take a position such as Wynn's Japanese partner has in the Wynn Las Vegas. You would almost have to assume that one of the two would have to take a back seat to the other in just about all matters. Wynn has always been credited with great success in his casino properties - not so with Trump, as he has had some difficulties in the past with his AC properties. Please understand my thoughts in this matter - Donald has proven to be an aggressive and bold businessman - you don't get to his level without some ups and downs and it seems he has has many more up's.

I would not put a lot of stock in these latest rumors concerning Trump and Wynn at this writing. Should they actually get together there will have to be a lot more than just rumors to produce this marriage. They may be back on favorable terms with each other but with their volatile personalities can it last through the actual building of a billion dollar plus Hotel Resort.

After all is said and done, this would be a terrific boost for Atlantic City. Just the thought of having the two most elite guys in the casino industry just speaking about getting together should set fire under the investment community. It's hard to find two people stronger than Wynn and Trump that would have lenders drooling at the possibilities.

Let's see, what could they call this property - They Wynn by Trump or maybe The Wynn that got Trumped. The bottom line would be the best of the best for AC if they do get it on...............
