Implications: I am not sure what all the fuss is about. There is a down turn in business, however in most cases is has not taken a real bite out of the Nevada casino market. Can the casinos maintain their present status through 2008 - it remains to be seen, however, if past figures are any indication it looks good for the industry.

Analysis: Just by looking at the skyline of the Las Vegas Strip should give most investment people a reason to rejoice. There does not seem to be any hold back from new construction and planned new projects. If you take a good look at Nevada Gaming Revenue you need to go back to 2002 to see any change in the upward movement of statewide revenues. Looking back it seems that there big loss or change was only - 0.3%. Not bad,  considering from then on Nevada has been on a constant increase. I don't have any doubt that 2008 will also be a terrific year for gaming in this state.

Remember that even though there has been some casino closures due to new construction the industry has remaind strong and the outlook is solid. The cash rewards from U.S. gaming properties entry in the Macau market has bolstered some of our biggest casino gaming companies. Macau is a very solid cash cow - it looks as though it will remain that way and get bigger and better as new properties are developed.

Even though were are looking at higher and higher building costs it will not deter such companies as Boyd and MGM and possibly Harrah"s from continuing their efforts to finish projects in a timely manner. The opening of the Sand's, Pallazzo and with Steve Wynn trying to complete the Encore by the end of the year, it will surely stimulate more traffic into Las Vegas. The future is bright for the Gaming Industry and the nay sayers must take an ernest look at both dollar growth and rising visitor counts to ease their nerves....... Be Positive, Positive, Positive........
