Sepculation Drives the Market not the Quality of the product
Analysis of:
Wall Street scores VMware's Q4 results an error | www.computerworld.com

Implications: Virtualization is here; Squeamish brokers only control short term markets; VMware has strong and stable product offerings.
Analysis: What the article is about is - speculation, and not the quality of product or future earnings. Although VMware faces competition, virtualization is here, and coming on strong, with plenty of room to go around - for now. If the brokers choose to be squeamish now - thats fine - let them pay for it latter - I don't mind buying low and selling high. Now to the product and the competition - VMware has been around for some time and, for my part, has been a strong and stable product offerings. VMware has a different sales force than the competition - VARs who believe and developers who use it to demonstrate their offering. Can't remember ever seeing any publisher of software ever pull up their laptops to show their offerings on anything but VMware - to include Citrix, Novell and Microsoft. When I see the competition use their own product that, allegedly, competes with VMware I'll reconsider. So, I'm not to concern what brokers think for the short term, it is my believe that VMware will get a better than equal share of a growing market which is embracing virtualization as the future for reducing cost and increasing productivity.
