Implications: The recent results for a trial of Relieva in atopic dermatitis or eczema, a cream containing a homeopathic compound, were positive by a report from the company. The study sample was small, and the trial was open label. Generally these trials have a larger number of patients, and are blinded. Also it appears that the subjects were mostly adults, while eczema is more problematic in children. A published article in a peer reviewed journal would be helpful to evaluate the data, and I would suggest a larger blinded study. It is interesting to note that the company sells the product directly to the public for psoriasis as well.

Analysis: This is product that will have an impact if larger studies are done, blinded, and the science is worked out as to how the active agent is antiinflammatory.  Statistically positive results in a peer reviewed journal would be helpful.
