Workers from Polished Diamond Industry protest agaimst thier Factories in Surat(INDIA) to raise thier wages.
Surat which is the second largest market in Polished Diamond Industry computing of about 60% is facing an issue of lower wages for polish diamond employes in factories. It was assumed that in few factories wages has not been raised from past 12 years.
It is a very big issue as at this time where we all are experincing a price hike in every field, it is very difficult for a Diamond Industry Employer to servive.
At this time it is also very difficult for the factory owners to raise the wages of their workers as the Industry is facing a downfall due to weak market condition around the world and in India too, and it is also beacause of Price Hike in Diamonds by DTC which is about 20% from last year.
Workers are demanding 20% increment in thier wages which seems to be setteled in next few days.
