Summary

Arthropod borne diseases are important modes for transmission of pathogenic microbes to man and animal and their interactive environment.  Mosquito's are the vectors for transmission of heartworms in dogs, which is endemic in many states in the U.S., Eastern and Western Equine Encephalitis in birds,horses and man, West Nile viruses and many other significant diseases
