Medicare is looking to save money, which is currently spent on cancer chemotherapy agents.

Analysis

Whichever route is chosen, it will cut reimbursement to oncologists and make it more difficult for patients to receive cutting edge therapy. If there is no incentive the Docs will simply stop seeing Medicare patients or divert them to hospital outpatient clinics where costs will be higher. Either way, care and patients will suffer!
