We have been searching for a new class of drugs that will show true promise for Alzheimer's Dementia.
Analysis
With the limited efficacy of the ACHase-inhibitors and the NMDA receptor antagonist we have been searching for a new class of drugs to treat Alzheimer's. Much has been made of the anti-inflamitory drugs such as Naprosyn and the statins, such as Lipitor. I feel that the next big breakthrough might br the mitochondrial stabilizing agents.
