Move up the iPhone release date.
Analysis of:
3G iPhone in May, Another Device at WWDC? | www.macrumors.com
This analysis is solely the work of the author. It has not been edited or endorsed by GLG.
Implications: The inventories of iPhones are going to zero in one market after another. Apple can't afford to wait a month or months for the new product release. Could it be they are ahead of schedule and the new phone is days away.
Analysis: This weekend it was reports the Apple on line store stopped taking orders for iPhones, last week several other outlets reported no more iPhones. That leaves basically the regular Apple stores and ATT stores. Apple would not stop production of this hot product and let the channel run dry unless the new iPhone was already in production and ready to ship. I have been moving up release dates over and over again first from the fall to summer and now I believe it is days away. Without this release Apple would suffer a drop in revenue it can't afford to have. It would also make it harder to achieve its goal of 10 million phones.
