Summary

While not happening as quickly as with newspapers and magazines, books are not that far behind. Kindle and Sony's Reader will make electronic readership a lot easier

Analysis

Yes, the times they are a changing. First it was newspapers and magazines and now books. Didn't take newspaper publishers long to figure out that digitization would enable them to keep the lights on a little longer, magzine publishers realize they can't win the paper and postage battle forever. At around $300 both Kindle and Sony Reader are pricey but that will change shortly, reading books electronically will be a natural progression for those comfortably embracing technology. Looks like a potential win-win all the way around, keep younger folks reading, albeit in a little more high tech format. Factor in stuff like animation, 3D and we'll soon think we're at the movies, won't that be a funway to read books.
