Analysis

- Its very hasty move to pass a gigantic move of health reform in such a short time and with very little home work. It should be done in steps.
- Without MALPRACTICE reform the healthcare costs will stay high as the rate of frivolous lawsuits will go up as the govt takes measures to contain tests and  hospital stays. The doctors already feel the financial crunch as well as the lawsuit scare. The lawmakers are cozy with the trial lawyer community and thats why this contentious and important issue is not even on the table.
- It will definitely affect the medical profession very adversely and there will be shortage of MD's. Under current flawed payment system it is already becoming very hard to stay in business of medicine.
- We only need insurance reform and malpractice reform at this point.
-Incentivise the small business to provide coverage.
- Taxing cigarettes, alcohol and guns to generate funds to insure the uninsured.
-There is no need of any public plan.
- When illegal immigrants will be denied of access to the medical care it will cause lots of noise as people will suffer and the attorneys will flourish.
- When the entertainers are allowed in this capitalistic society to make hundreds of millions of dollars for just tossing the ball around why can't a physician make decent hard earned living. Any cuts in reimbursements will discourage doctors from practicing and attracting new talents into this field. The quality of physician will also drop exponentially. We will not be able to attract the best brains and talents from within the country and  allover the world. The standard of care will drop unquestionably.
