John is right on

Implications: John is correct in his brief analysis

Analysis: We incorporated electronic poker games as well as electronic craps tables in one casino I operated. We found exactly what John said, which was, that people like the interaction with live people far more than interacting with a machine (at least when it comes to these games). We experienced a decrease of 2/3, of revenue when comparing the automated game to the "live" game. So much for the theory that craps and poker are intimidating games that the public is nervous about appearing unknowledgeable about. In extremely large casinos, I believe that there is a small place for these units but until they become more sophisticated they will be second class citizens.
