Continuing the current trend of JV's in line with Pfizer, GSK, Mylan etc... Novavax has also found its Indian bride. The JV is done with the best of intention to produce Swine Flu vaccine. I thing shortly every Indian Pharma company will have JV in Biotech sector.
Analysis
With Laws around the world being made simpler for entry of Generic version of Biotech product (Bio Similars) every pharma or Biotech player is trying to cover its back side.
It will be difficult to complete with Low cost model of Indian company so better get them on your side.
As long as it is a win - win deal and every one makes money at the end of day we are on the right track.
Consumers can cheer out loud, healthcare is about to come at a huge discount !!!!
